Meet Amanda

I got tired of teaching birth classes that looked nothing like labor. After more than two decades of teaching childbirth education, I started wondering if there was a better way. Not a better way to give birth. A better way to prepare for it. Because labor isn't a slideshow. Birth happens in a body, not a PowerPoint. I realized that I was teaching parents how to move through hospitals sysems instead of move themselves through labor. That's why I created Bare Birth. A little less lecture. A little more real life. Call me crazy, but I think a physical event deserves physical preparation. Because birth is unpredictable. But feeling prepared doesn't have to be.
